A new structural analysis performed 2005 confirms a hook load capacity of up to 1,000,000 Lbs. (500 Ton).
The mast originally had a Gross Nominal Capacity of 750,000 lbs when used onboard the Troll "A" Platform in the North-sea.
This mast is similar to the Draugen Platform mast that now currently is used in the Caspian sea on a drilling barge.
The mast has space for a large top drive and plenty of space on the drillfloor.
Documentation and drawings, including full material traceability certification package.
DNV certified with complete documentation.
The condition is still Excellent.
Sizes:
Height: 44.171 m / 145 ft
Leg distance: 9.144 m / 30 ft X 8.687 m / 28.5 ft
Weight of Mast: 136 Metric Tonnes
The mast is furnished with a remote operated Varco "Star Racker System" (Optional), but this system can easily be replaced by a conventional manual racking board if required.
Originally the Varco star racker system has the following set back capacity:
- 63 stands 3 1/2" drillpipe,
- 63 Stands 5" drillpipe
- and approx. 20 stands drill collars (6" to 8").
Totally 146 each stands of combined 3 ½ ", 5" drillpipe and drill collars gives a racking capacity of 4,088 m(13,400 ft).
National Oilwell, that is now manuaturing the star racker, have indicated that the racking capacity can be increased considerable by upgrading the racking table to new version with "side pockets" .
Local Electric Room (LER) are also available for sale (Optional).
