The reel is mounted on a foundation which can be pulled along the riser deck between storage and operating position.
The reel may also be turned in different directions on its foundation.
Equipped with hydraulic "fail safe brakes".
The control is from hydraulic control valves mounted on the reel itself.
Previously used for installing flowlines and riser offshore in Norway.
