Frequently Asked Questions
Q-1: What is the cost of presenting equipment in Quipbase.com?
A-1: There is NO COST charged for presenting equipment in Quipbase.com.
Q-2: What is the cost of using Quipbrokers AS equipment sourcing service?
A-2: There is NO COST charged for this service. We only charge if we find equipment that you finally buy.
Q-3: Is Quipbrokers AS a broker company based on charging a sale commission?
A-3: Quipbrokers AS operate like any other supply and trading company do and "mark-up" the equipment price before we quote to the buyer. However, we also operate as "Brokers" on high value equipment like complete drilling rigs, barges, gas turbines etc. In these cases we charge a commission from the selling party according to an accepted agreement.
Q-4: For the equipment presented in the database, do you claim exclusive sales rights?
A-4: We do not claim exclusive sales rights and there are no further obligations for the owner, except that we expect the owner to keep us updated on the availability status of the equipment.
Q-5: Would it be possible to advertise our surplus equipment with our company listed as contact?
A-5: We are sorry. Direct contact listing is not our policy. You will find websites dedicated to advertising if you would like to spend money on this.
Q-6: Are you offering any kind of warranty when selling the equipment?
A-6: The warranty terms will be stated in our quotations. Normally surplus- and used equipment is sold "as is, where is" with as much information as possible about technical and visible condition. New or overhauled equipment will often include up to 12 months warranty from the workshop. In any case, we accept responsibility if the equipment we have sold is misrepresented.
Q-7: Quipbase.com contains much equipment for sale. Are the listings up to date?
A-7: We are depending on the owner of the equipment to inform us about the status, e.g. if they have sold the equipment or for some other reason it is not for sale any more. Unfortunately, sometimes the owner forget to inform us, so we also check the availability status of the equipment on a regular basis. But this may in any case represent a delay in the updating of status.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or comments.
