Introduction

Anonymous users (visitors) may browse the site and see public information. We collect information about anonymous visitors for statistics only. This is non-personal geographic and demographic information, and we use Google Analytics for this statistics. If a anonymous user register any requests at this site and give up personal information in doing so, also this information will be stored in our system.

For registered partners and users, also site usage information will be stored, in order to provide you with a better service and information related to your use of our service. This usage information is not shared with 3. parties.

Data Responsible

Your user agreement is with Quips IT AS, and cover all our services, provided via this website, via e-mail or phone. All data is handled by our selected members among our employees, and is not shared with 3. parties. All employees handling your data is located in Norway.

Services

Your user agreement covers this site (Quipbase™), or related services from Quips IT AS. It includes external services like our advertising systems and newsletter/mailing services. Any 3. party services that provides separate privacy policies are not included.

Anonymous visitors

For anonymous users (visitors), personal information will basically be restricted to IP address, geographical information, platform, operating system (OS) and browser information. This is used for statistic purposes, and to improve our services.
If you submit personal data in a web form on any of our pages, it will however be stored and processed in our system.

If you register as a partner, we will also require additional information, like address, company legal information, accreditations and other information that may be required to put you in contact with potential customers.

Some information, f.ex. name, company name and e-mail is mandatory in your profile. Other information is optional. However, contact and location information may ease the process if we or potential customers want to contact you. Your profile information is stored in our system, visible to you and us, but not shared with 3. parties, unless you specifically allow us to do that.


Add and upload information

When you register enquiries, answer to enquiries or questions from other registered users, or add data related to equipment you rent out, this will also be stored in our system. This data may be used to analyze user behaviour and ultimately improve our services for you. Equipment data that is made public may be used in promotional offers, newsletters and advertisements as needed.

Information you add to your profile is visible only to you. Any public equipment listings may contain contact information if provided. If you add or respond to enquiries or messages, your name, email-address and company name will be visible for any participants in the thread.

We will share your information across all our related services.

We may use 3rd party providers for f.ex. invoicing or freight deliveries. In such cases only information needed to provide these services is shared. Normally this will be restricted to address and delivery information, in additon to contact information.

We may share your information when our business is sold to other parties, merged with others, or control of our assets and systems are otherwise handed over to other parties. This Privacy Policy will remain valid until you may be presented with a new one.

4.1. Storing your information

We store your personal information as long as your account exists, or as long as it is necessary to provide services to you. Even if you only use our services occasionally, we will keep the information and keep your profile open until you choose to cancel your account. If you choose to add any personal information in enquiries or messages on our services, this will be stored and will be accessible for other users with access to these enquiries or messages.

If you choose to cancel your account, your personal information will be deleted. None of your information will be visible on our services. We will normally keep your contact information stored internally for use if we need to reach out to you, unless you ask us to remove this as well.

5.1. Security

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software on all our services, which encrypts information you input. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to log off and close the browser when finished using a shared computer. You should also use a password that is not easy to guess or brute force ( by repeated login attempts).

Your data is stored in USA and in Norway. Data is used and processed in both countries, but human data processing is only performed in Norway. All data transfers and replication is encrypted and secured. We are committed to follow the GDPR regulations in EU enforced from May, 2018.
