Dead Line Compensator
The vessel has a deadline compensator for compensating the top drive/dolly. The cylinder has a static capacity of 450T and a dynamic compensating capacity of 240T. Stroke is 12m and speed is 4m/s.
Main Winch
The 450T AHC Winch System has an active and a passive side and consists of accumulator cylinder (AC), air pressure vessels (APV) containing nitrogen, hydraulic pumps, motors and a crane control system (CCS) to control the different lifting modes and transitions between the modes. The main winch has an energy saving device called "KERS" (Kinetic Energy Recovery system) which can save up to 70% of energy during ACH mode.
The different lifting modes are:
- Normal mode
- Active heave compensation
- Constant tension
- Emergency lowering
