The Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) consists of a stainless steel tank, 3 each complete pumps with motors, filters and different types of valves.
The DNV 2.7-1 lift frame is furnished with pad eyes.
Pump type: Kawasaki K3VG180DT - 10NRV7PH1-0-G028
- Variable displacement, swash-plate axial piston pump
- Configuration: Tandem (DT = Double/Twin pump - two 180 cc pumps combined in one housing, driven by a common shaft.)
- Circuit: Open-loop hydraulic system
- Designed for high-pressure industrial and marine applications where precise flow control and reliability are required.
- Displacement: 180 cm³/rev × 2 (total ≈ 360 cm³/rev) each DT Pump
- Max flow: 648 both pumps
- Rated pressure: ~350 bar
- Peak pressure: ~400 bar
- Speed range: up to ~1800–2200 rpm (typical)
- Approx. 160 kg for DT version
Hydraulic Pipe: 2" SAE 6000 AISI 316
Fittings: SAJ514-WITH O-RING SEAL AISI 316
Pump Control: Constant Pressure, pressure compensated.
Tank oil capacity: Approx. 5000 litre
EI. Motors: 3 each
Induction Motors
690 V - 60 Hz Star (Y) (Note. 400 V - 60 Hz Delta should also be possible)
RPM : 1760
Power : 230 kW each
IP 56
Ex Motors: EeExde IIBT3
ABB
El. Supply: 690 V - 60 Hz
Weight:
Approx. 11000 kg (empty tank)
Max. operating weight: 16000 kg (with hydraulic oil)
The units have previously been used to drive a hydraulic top drive and hydraulic drawworks on a drilling rig.
On the drilling rig the operating pressure was 220 bar, and the max. pressure relief valve was set to 250 bar.
