The hydraulically I electrically operated Cat head is a tool for making up and braking out drill collar and drill pipe.
Maximum line pull available is 140.000 N (31.500 lb), equal to a torque of 170.000 Nm (125.000 lb ft.) with a 4 ft. rig tong (140 bar, 2030 psi).
The Cathead is a floor mounted self-contained unit, bolted to the foundation using 6 bolts each.
Control valve cabinet included.
