The Racking Guide Arm (Z-back Guide Arm or ZBA) is a derrick mounted guiding arm. The Racking Guide Arm operates together with Racking Lift Arm, guiding the lower end of the tubulars from the setback area and presenting them to the well center, and vise versa.
The Racking Guide Arm are running in a rail mounted on drill floor between the two setbacks.
The Racking Guide arm consists of a trolley with slew frame, on the slew frame there is mounted a tiltable arm. A guide head is mounted at the end of the arm.
The Racking Guide Arm is operated manually with an operator panel.
